New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson made what is already being called the "catch of the year" during his team's Thursday Night Football win against the Houston Texans in Week 9.

Wilson caught a one-handed 26-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Aaron Rodgers, somehow managing to stay in bounds despite extending his legs in a movement similar to Michael Jordan's signature 'Jumpman' dunk, putting the Jets ahead, 14-10, with 13:01 remaining in the fourth quarter and ultimately serving as a game-winner. The former Ohio State standout had previously found the end zone on a 21-yard pass from Rodgers in the third quarter to give New York its first score of the game.

The catch was also compared to Odell Beckham's signature catch made during his rookie season with the New York Giants in 2014.

" have not gasped as loudly at a player’s catch since *the* Odell Beckham Jr catch in 2014 My lord, Garrett Wilson is not human. Rule of cool and all that, yes, but he may have actually gotten his shin down! 'Catch of the year' would be an understatement," Pro Football Focus' Mike Kennedy wrote on his X account.

Wilson entered Thursday's game with 51 receptions for 573 yards and three touchdowns, which included recording five receptions for 113 yards in Week 8.
