A historical society in Maryland is calling on the public for help in identifying a curious contraption that has left them scratching their heads. According to a local media report, the puzzling device was donated to the Dorchester County Historical Society in the community of Cambridge sometime in the 1990s. Kept in storage ever since, the mystery machine was recently dusted off by the group, which says that they have no idea what its purpose was. Believed to be nearly a century old, though sporting a more recently installed motor, the device features a pair of spinning pins, one of which is lined with bolts, atop a ceramic table.
